13 July 2023
The Work in Tech program through a partnership between INCO Academy and Yayasan Plan International Indonesia targets 10,000 scholarships for the IT Support Google Professional certification program for young people. The program targets 7,500 young people to complete the course and 3,750 trained young people to find suitable employment opportunities. The project will also provide support facilities for young people to succeed through the challenges faced in completing the certification scholarship program and securing employment opportunities in the IT field.
The support facilities provided will vary according to the unique needs of each youth participant, but most fundamentally, in addition to being equipped with IT technical training, young people will also receive training and mentoring related to job readiness and understanding of gender equality. In order to do so, the project will also open cooperation with individuals who can provide monitoring services for participants who are carrying out a series of training in IT Support, Digital Marketing, Junior Web Programming, and soft skills. The form of monitoring includes offline visits to the and soft skills, as well as preparing and distributing final surveys for Work in Tech participants in West Java and East Java, spread across Bandung, Cirebon, Surabaya, and Malang.
